Mai Hime (Review)

Mai Hime is an anime about a group of girls with strange vaguely explained magical powers, which each have their own characteristic weapons, and magic-robot summons. The show revolves mainly around Mai, and Natsuki. Despite the oh-so uninspired premise, I think that the series was quite good.
The girls, known as Hime, are all lured to the same school which is overseen by a little crippled girl with purple hair, who apparently over sees the same events whenever they come about. Mai is lured to the school because she and her brother are offered scholarships to the school, and they are both quite wanting in the monetary department, because they lack parents or guardians.
While on a cruise ship leading to the school, they find a girl with a large claymore, named Mikoto -- who has some kind of mental handicap – and is later followed by a girl in a biker helmet looking to murder her up. The ensuing battle destroys the cruise ship, and later Mai regains consciousness in a circle of scorched grass on the school grounds inexplicably.
The anime is quite watchable, it is a little slow up until the middle, but then gets hard to stop watching until the end.

ShizuNatsu is the best yuri couple for me.
Up until now, I've never found anyone who can replace the throne of my beloved couple.
In fact, before I sleep, I think of them and imagine stories involving them. XD That never happened to other yuri pairs I've encountered.
